House of Margaux, a small independent baby and children's fashion brand designed and ethically produced in the UK, launches its product range in the iconic Eco charity the Eden Project.

From Monday 21st February 2022, Newquay based award winning ‘indie’ brand House of Margaux will be launching it’s line of handmade  eco-friendly kidswear at the globally recognised Eden Project, dubbed the eighth Wonder of the World.

The emerging eco kidswear brand was born out of the pandemic when founders, family team Cass and Ben Douglas, found themselves with the time and opportunity due to furlough to realise a long awaited dream to put their creative talents to use,  turning their spare bedroom into a workshop and creating House of Margaux.

18 months on from the conception, after expanding out from their spare bedroom to a small purpose built workshop in their garden,  winning Silver at The Junior Design Awards in 2020 for ‘Best UK Fashion Newcomer, as well as  Bronze in 2021 for ‘Best Eco Collection’,  House of Margaux have been listed as one of  The Eden Projects suppliers, meeting their stringent criteria for stocking low carbon footprint eco-friendly goods.

Laura Murphy Buyer from the Eden Project said We are always on the lookout for local eco-friendly brands to partner with and House of Margaux seemed like an obvious choice, being handmade in Cornwall from sustainable materials such as organic cotton. We love the bright and fun colourful designs, but also the messages of inclusivity and links to nature within the designs are particularly important to us.”

Cass Douglas, founder of House of Margaux said; ‘We have always had sustainability and environmental impact at the forefront of our brand, so partnering with The Eden Project to stock our childrenswear completely aligns with our mission and purpose. Right from the beginning, we wanted to produce beautiful items from sustainable and fairly produced material whilst minimising our impact on the environment, and as we grow and expand we hope to promote a culture of sustainably affordable fashion. I’m so proud of everything we have achieved in such a short amount of time and I can't wait to see where this journey takes us.’
